Alexandra Shakina, jazz singer from St. Petersburg, graduated at the State University of Culture and Art in St. Petersburg, participating in international educational programs conducted by world-renowned musicians such as Kevin Mahogany, Sheila Jordan, JD Walter, Barry Harris, etc. Her vocal and artistic inspirations are deep in the great singers such as Carmen McRae, Shirley Horn, Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington, Nancy Wilson, Ernestine Anderson, Billie Holiday and she has chosen to follow the tradition of jazz putting her artistic path in the wake of the vocal mainstream. She collaborates with musicians such as Nikolai Sizov, Andrei Zimovets, Garii Bagdasaryan, Vladimir Shafranov, Yegor Kryukovskikh, Alexander Beschastny, Philip Meshcheryakov, Massimo Faraò, Aldo Zunino and many others. Present in many concerts and festivals such as JFC Jazz Club, DOM 7, The Hat Bar, Jazz Manor, Petrojaz, Big Jam, Bobby Dorham Jazz Festival, Terijoki Jazz Festival, Skandinavia Vine Market, etc. In April 2018 she recorded hes debut album for the Japanese record label Venus Records along with the Italian trio, which included Massimo Faraò (piano), Aldo Zuninio (double bass), Ruben Bellavia (drums).
Masimo Faraò was born May 16th, 1965, in Genoa. He studied piano with Maestro Flavio Crivelli and began his career collaborating with musicians from the Genoa Area, especially with the bassist Piero Leveratto. In 1993 he was invited for the first time in the USA. He plays with Red Holloway and Albert "Tootie" Heath on a tour on the West Coast. In the same year he founded "We love Jazz" Workshop, now become one of the biggest events in Europe for jazz teaching. In 1994 he was hired by "Monad Records" in New York and back in the United States as pianoplayer and music director of Shawnn Monteiro's band, with Keter Betts and Bobby Durham. He has played in several european tours with the Nat Adderley Quintet, composed by Antonio Hart, Walter Booker and Jimmy Cobb. In 2001 he joined the Archie Shepp's "Just in Time" Quartet with Wayne Dockery and Bobby Durham. Since 2001 he is the artistic director for the jazz division of AZZURRA MUSIC label. In 2003 he played at "Jazz Piano Festival" in Lucerne. In November 2004 he played in Japan, where his albums have become bestsellers. He played in Italy, France, Germany, Corsica, Switzerland, Hungary, Austria, USA, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Dubai, Luxembourg, Spain, Japan, Yugoslavia, Canada.
Nicola Barbon, is one of the most wanted sideman in the european jazz scene. After gradutaed at the "A. Buzzolla” conservatory in Adria and several jazz workshop with Buster Williams, William Parker, Ben Allison, Barry Harris, Marc Abrams, Danilo Memoli, Chuck Israels, Aldo Zunino, he start his carrer as an educator and as professional musicains collaborating with artists such as Massimo Faraò, Bruno Cesselli, Philip Harper, Denise King, Jesse Davis, Fabio Morgera, Sandy Patton, Valery Ponomarev.
