Clifford Brown and Max Roach was produced in 1954 by Bob Shad for Verve Records. The title artists – trumpeter Clifford Brown and drummer Max Roach – co-lead the quintet featuring Richie Powell on piano (brother of most famous Bud), Harold Land on tenor sax ( in 1955 rplaced in the quintet by Sonny Rollins) and George Morrow on doublebass.
